Pieter Muller

Pieter has built extensive expertise in the insurance industry over a career spanning 31 years, having worked in various capacities with industry leaders such as Willis, Mutual & Federal (M&F), and Zurich.

With a background across multiple areas of commerce, Pieter has advised a broad range of complex commercial insurance clients, including prominent JSE-listed companies and non-listed corporates.

Prior to joining Credelex, Pieter served as a director at a boutique brokerage, where he played a key role in driving business growth, particularly in the areas of new product development, as well as mining, manufacturing, construction, and engineering risks.

Pieter's academic achievements include distinguished studies in Risk Management, Construction, and Engineering Insurance. He further broadened his expertise by completing specialised studies in Integrated Risk Management at the University of Stellenbosch Business School.

More recently, he obtained accreditation from the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), paving the way for his specialisation in "distressed" fire risks and the complex engineering solutions required to mitigate these exposures.
